So on Sunday morning, Chas, my Dad, my brother Mike and I set off for a 3 hour drive to Maryland to see Maddie ride in her horse show. Nothing but clear skies in front of us. Or so we thought. About 45 minutes into the trip, it began to pour. It rained like it hadn’t rained in months. But we kept driving. We drove all the way to Olney, Maryland. Arriving in the pouring rain, I hopped out of my car and jumped under the tent next to the horse trailer. The water was coming down in buckets. However, an hour later – the rain stopped.

The skies cleared up enough to become a gorgeous-overcast day. (My favorite kind of day to shoot!) So Maddie and Deb, one of the other girls from our farm, finally got their chance to shine. They rode the stadium and cross country (XC) courses. They both rode beautifully! Check out their pictures.

Finally – I may have the best built-in assistant ever. Chas is such a great bag carrier. And he looks so good doing it!
